The Maya Collaborative for Global Understanding
Max Kintner’s help and assistance to
Lighthouse Station as we developed our mission,
outreach, and programs was vital to the success
of Lighthouse Station in Guatemala. The Maya
Collaborative is a developing coalition of
NGOs, non-profits, individual donors and researchers
who share a common goal of improving the quality
of life in rural Guatemala. Mr. Kintner
has been in constant communication with Lighthouse
Station to help as we researched costs for
programs and looked for our first children
and families to serve with our programs. Mr.
Kintner’s insight into the people, culture,
and government in the Mayan areas of Guatemala
has been tremendously valuable to us, and we
owe him and his staff many thanks for their
support of us and for their continued assistance
with medical examinations for Lighthouse Station
children and educational research for children
in our Lighthouse Learning program.

A Note of Thanks
Lighthouse
Station would especially like to thank the
board of local business owners, church members
and community leaders in Chichicastenango,
Guatemala who have worked with us from the
very beginning. Their assistance and guidance
have made it possible for us to help children
and families in the Chichi area, and we are
tremendously grateful for their support.
