Welcome to Lighthouse Station
Lighthouse Station Inc. is a faith-based 501(c)
3 nonprofit organization that strives to strengthen
children and preserve families in underserved communities
throughout the world. Through programs that assist
children and families with basic physical, educational
and medical needs, Lighthouse Station creates opportunities
and provides hope for those caught in the systemic
cycle of poverty.
In countries around the world, millions of children
fight a daily battle to find food and shelter. They sleep
in alleys and on street corners, and are forced to beg
and rummage through garbage for food to quell constant
hunger pains. Most of these children will not be able
to go to school or to see a doctor when they are sick.
Families living in poverty struggle to provide the most
basic necessities for their children. Parents try to
give their children a better life, but food, clean water
and medicine are often scarce resources in their communities,
and educational opportunities are limited.
These children and families are the innocent victims
of global poverty. Forces beyond their control usually
determine their plight, but their situation is not hopeless.
We believe that, through God’s mercy and the outreach
of others, it is possible to ease the suffering of those
burdened with so much despair.
At Lighthouse Station, we will lend our voices, talents,
time, and financial resources to improve the lives of
the disadvantaged and disenfranchised children and families
struggling to survive in this world.
